There are plenty of activities for you to enjoy including horseback tours, hiking, cycling and exploring historical landmarks like the Elizabethan Walls and Paxton House. The railway station is ten minutes away, ideal for travelling to the property or for guests to embark on an unforgettable day excursion. Berwick is Englands most northerly town and changed hands 13 times whilst the English and the Scots fought for around 400 years for control of the Borders! The history is delightfully shown in the towns museum. Nowadays this small coastal town retains much of its charm, with narrow streets enclosed within Elizabethan walls and walks along these offer views over the coast and river estuary to Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. The town even boasts some medieval parts and the most Georgian architecture in any English town.
