The quality of light through the high level windows on both sides of the main living space was sublime. To sit and enjoy possibly the best, uninterrupted sea view of anywhere I have stayed in the world, peering over the castle on one side and the Farnes on the other, on the large glazed balcony was a treat all day long, but particularly at sunrise and sunset. The bedrooms had the same view. To top it off, after sunset the large island was fab to sit and eat and play games around. We'll be booking again.

The views from the living room / balcony were just amazing; all the way from Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands across Embleton bay and to Dunstanburgh Castle. The design made it really light and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. The only minor negative was that the parking was quite tight for a larger car. Having a fabulous farm shop so close was a real bonus.

Lovely, spacious main room with balcony overlooking the coast so even when the weather was poor, we had a wonderful sense of being somewhere special. Loved how easy it was to keep clean with a dog and it was brilliant that parking and access was so easy to manage, too. Bathroom was beautiful and so lovely to have a decent shower after days in the sea. A couple of things we found disappointing: the double bed mattress was uncomfortable, with clear dips on each side. I think it is really in need of replacing. Second thing was that some of the crockery was lacking - cereal bowls - only three - and a set of wine glasses would have been great. Otherwise, the kitchen equipment was great. Hope this feedback helps - it wouldn’t stop us returning as we loved the space for a beach holiday.
