This lovely studio style cottage is ideally situated for a peaceful getaway and is a perfect base from which to explore the scenic Northumberland countryside and many historical attractions of the area, including the World Heritage Site of Hadrian s Wall. Visit Hexham Abbey and enjoy afternoon tea in the courtyard followed by a stroll around the scenic Sele Park. Head to The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre and the Roman forts and museums at Vindolanda and Housesteads. Walk sections of Hadrian s Wall and explore the breath taking scenery and pretty villages in the North Pennines, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and unesco Global Geopark provides endless walking routes to suit all abilities. Close by the Roman town of Corbridge is brimming with history, great pubs, places to eat, a range of quality shops, and charming river walks. Head to Kielder Water and Forest Park for walking and cycling trails galore, a range of outdoor activities, falconry, and the Dark Sky Observatory. Discover Blue Flag beaches at Whitley Bay and Tynemouth and Northumberland s many coastal villages and castles, including Alnwick Castle and Gardens famous for the Harry Potter films. To end your day why not take a walk and treat yourself to a Michelin Star dinner at restaurant Hjem, Northumberland's most prestigious eatery just 1.5 miles away. On entering this light and cosy single level studio style holiday home, a step up to the door leads you into the entrance lobby. Stepping into the lounge/bedroom you will find a comfy and welcoming room which is ideal for unwinding in, with comfortable seating, TV and a double bed. Going into the bright and attractively designed kitchen/diner, you will find a charming dining area, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric 2 ring hob, electric oven, under counter fridge and microwave. You will also find a shower room complete with a walk in shower cubicle and a WC. Stepping outside, you can sit back and relax in the large enclosed lawn garden, which has bench seating and a patio area with table and chairs, making it perfect for dining alfresco. There s also a summer house/boot room with hooks for outdoor clothing plus a set of golf clubs, two bicycles and two tennis rackets for you to use during your stay. Off road parking is available for one car on the driveway which is shared with the owners home. Need to know: 1 open plan bedroom/lounge. 1 shower room with and WC.
