Please note: There is a small step in the courtyard.. Millers Coach House, built in the 1800s, is a quirky and stylish single-storey dwelling conveniently close to the centre of Hexham. Originally a coach house as the names suggests, it now forms an annexe to the owner’s home. From the side entrance, enter into the open-plan living/dining area, which has a staircase up to the galleried bedroom with twin beds. This is a light filled space with large windows and overhead Velux roof lights. The living area is the perfect place to relax with a comfortable sofa bed, chairs and Smart TV, the perfect place to watch a great movie or to catch up with your favourite TV programme after a day out exploring the fabulous town and surrounding countryside. There is a compact kitchen area with countertop electric hotplate, combination microwave for cooking, and also has a washing machine and a fridge. Completing the accommodation is a shower room. Outside is a small enclosed patio area with bistro table and chairs, a little sun trap in the morning and the perfect spot to sit and enjoy breakfast or your first coffee of the day. We plan to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible, for example glass refill bottles for toiletries and bamboo cutlery.

Hexham itself is a lovely town with lots of historic attractions to visit, including Hexham Abbey, which boasts an interactive exhibition and a visitor centre, as well as fabulous grounds. Hexham is a popular place to visit at any time of year; within a short walk is a variety of restaurants and eateries, a theatre, a cinema, a golf course and a leisure centre with a pool and ten-pin bowling alley. For guests who enjoy a day at the races, Hexham Racecourse is within a short drive away and has a packed calendar all year round, a great day out for all the family. Walkers and cyclists will find themselves only a short distance away from established public footpaths, walking routes and cycle paths. Within a short drive visit the famous Hadrian’s Wall, the county’s greatest Roman monument and World Heritage Site. This crosses through stunning countryside, natural woodland and meadows, with established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways to explore, as well as Roman forts and settlements. There are many traditional Northumbrian villages to visit all within a short drive, including Corbridge, with its beautiful river walks and boutique shopping, as well as the nearby stunning Northumberland coastline. A little further afield, a day trip to the cosmopolitan city of Newcastle upon Tyne or the beautiful city of Durham are well worth a visit.
