One of the oldest properties in Seahouses, Clamshell Cottage is an old fishermans dwelling which has been converted to offer excellent holiday accomodation. This property has its own play area for children to enjoy.

This charming former fisherman’s cottage is one of the oldest properties in Seahouses. Clam Shell Cottage has been lovingly restored retaining many original features throughout. Accommodation is over two floors providing flexible living space for four guests. The property has a private garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining - plus a shared children’s play area. A fabulous spot - very close to the harbour and beach, with the town’s amenities just a short walk away.

Clam Shell Cottage is a great base for exploring this beautiful area - visit the Farne Islands to observe the seabirds and the colony of Grey Seals. 3 miles north is the impressive Bamburgh Castle which  clings to a rocky outcrop, and it’s just 5 miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne (accessible at low tide along the causeway). Just south of Seahouses is Beadnell Bay with its unique west facing harbour for sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Good golfing (0,.5 miles), fishing and horse riding available locally.

Accommodation

Ground floor:

Kitchen: galley style with electric oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer

Dining area: French doors into the conservatory, comfortable seating, dining table and chairs.

Access to the patio/garden and the children's play area.

Living room: plenty of seating, electric fire, TV, book, games etc.

Conservatory: double doors to private patio and through to the children's play area.

Shower room: shower, WC, wash hand basin.

First floor:

Bedroom 1: sea views, two single/super king beds,

Bedroom 2: single bed and full size pull out guest bed with 'lift and lock' (metal legs).

Entertainment: TV, DVD, video, radio, CD player, Local information, books, cd's, jigsaws, games and videos. WiFi- limited access, connected with the owners property next door.

For families: cot, high chair, stair gate, games and books. Climbing frame and toys (used at own risk children should be supervised).

Outside: enclosed rear garden, patio, table, chairs and parasol. Additional outside play area is shared between two cottages (Clam Shell and Powder House), fenced and can be seen from the conservatory and patio.

Parking: on street parking for one car.  

General: WiFi. Bedding, bed linen, towels. Welcome tea tray.

Pets: sorry, no pets.
