Forget me Not has everything required for a truly splendid holiday in the UK. The large open plan living space is bright and relaxing. The living, dining and kitchen areas have plenty of seating, including breakfast bar stools. It’s a perfect setting where you can enjoy each other’s company, even if you are the chef. There are two bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities. Separate entry from the terrace provides a small room to store shoes and coats, and double doors create a beautiful light and airy feeling in the lodge. The owners have gone the extra mile with some added home comforts such as Sky TV and Amazon Alexa for music, news and entertainment. It also benefits from a modern kitchen with most things you need for a self catering holiday. For those who don’t want to cook there is a bar/restaurant on site with a take away service (seasonal), as well as coffee, snacks and selection of alcoholic drinks, and is only a few minutes’ walk from the lodge.

There is a lot of wildlife on the park, and a short walk away is a beautiful little lake with resident swans and ducks. It’s even been known for deer to wander around in the wooded area opposite the lodge. Access to the heritage coast is easy with Alnwick Castle only a few minutes’ drive, famed for some scenes in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. The beaches up the coast are some of the best in England, under populated and surrounded by friendly villages. Visitors to Northumberland are bound to return to explore more of this unspoilt county.
