Allonby has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is located between Maryport and Silloth. With long sandy beaches offering great views over the Solway Estuary to the mountains of southern Scotland, it gives an added dimension to this popular Cumbrian holiday destination. Within a few hundred yards you have a chippy, a couple of great pubs serving food and local ales, a famous ice-cream shop and a kids playing field with climbing frames and football goals. You are only a 10-mile drive to the Lake District National Park with fantastic walking, climbing and off road cycling for even the keenest of outdoor adventurer.
