The location is perfect to for exploring the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, and the owners can provide bike storage on request if needed in their locked garage. Take a leisurely walk down into town, or within a few miles Gelt Woods is a delightful walk. A must in the area is a walk along parts of Hadrian’s Wall. Further afield, visit the delights of the Lake District National Park or cross the border for a scenic drive into Scotland. Fishing can also be found nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

For all cottages at Garth House - Free use of owners heated indoor swimming pool (11.6 metres long by 5 metres wide with a minimum depth of 0.86 metres (2 feet 10 inch) and a maximum depth of 2.28 metres (7 feet 6 inch). Sun loungers, Toilets and Showers facilities available also.
The use of this is free and will last for 1 hour per day for the duration of your stay at a timing of your choice this however is subject to availability. The pool can be pre-booked from 9 am with the final booking time of 7 pm (Pool closes at 8 pm).
