The Field Barn was spotless with some really nice touches to make it even more welcoming. The welcome book was great with information and recommendations of things to do and places to go. Such a great remote location to switch off and take a break away from everything. We'd definitely recommend the Field Barn to anyone and we will be back for sure.

There was masses of equipment in the kitchen and the bedding etc was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely go back. My only criticism would be the sofa and chair could do with changing as they are not very comfortable, the sofa has a definite ridge going along it, very odd. And the stairs could do with a handrail on the other side with the rope one needs tightening at the end. Did t enjoy the stairs but coped! Great visit and I'm sure we'll be returning!

It is a lovely place to stay, it is so quiet. I came to read and relax away from everything. There are plenty of walks. I went into Alston and can recommend the cafe and there is a spar and a Coop for supplies. The property has everything you need and was very clean. Plenty of wildlife surrounding the property. I also had a few visits from the woolly neighbours.
