This superb holiday home is ideally situated to explore Arnside Knott, along with seeing the stunning vista of Morecambe Bay estuary, viaduct to Grange-over-Sands and the far hills of the Lakes. The coastal walk has woodland dipping to the shore path finishing back at Arnside, and afterwards why not sample the local produce at the cafes or enjoy refreshments at the award-winning pubs serving food and local ales? Also the popular Arnside fish and chip restaurant/takeaway is a must and at correct tide levels you will see the fishermen and herons hunting for supper on the shore line. In neighbouring Silverdale, there is Leighton Moss RSPB, a golf course and Wolf House gallery with its excellent café. Also in the area are Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle with their fabulous gardens, and the Lake District National Park is only a 25 minute drive away with its many attractions. This wonderful cottage is ideal for couples, friends and family all year round.

The village offers a pier, the 15th century Peel Towers, and a selection of shops and pubs. Close by is Leighton Moss rspb Reserve, and within reach are the Lake District and Lune Valley, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland.

We found Fox cottage to be ideal for us and our little dog. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well maintained with every facility catered for. We loved the rear courtyard. It was so peaceful to sit out in the sun with a drink or something to eat. The location was ideal for walks as well as getting to the railway or going out in the car. We would certainly stay again on our next visit to the area.

Lovely kitchen and bathroom and all the facilities we needed. The owner is very helpful and we even had decent weather. These is a couple of dog friendly pubs within walking distance and the fish and chip shop is excellent ( go early as it gets very busy) Wonderful walks on the doorstep and everything we needed for a great holiday :)
