Now cosy, bright contemporary furnishings enhance this quirky interior from where you can enjoy fabulous views of the Lancashire landscape. Share a meal together around the table in the spacious dining room or, weather permitting, dine al fresco in the terraced garden whilst taking in the view.

The cottage in the Trawden Forest conservation area offers easy access to local walks, many starting from the gate. Walk up Boulsworth Hill and to the ancient hamlet of Wycoller with its ruins and ancient stone bridges, not forgetting a welly inviting ford. The Brontë and Pendle Way are within walking distance, and the Pennine Way is just 6 miles away by car. Pendle Hill, home to the Pendle Witches, the villages of Newchurch, Barley and some fantastic countryside are a short drive away, as is the picturesque village of Haworth, which is the home of the Brontë Sisters.

Within walking distance from the cottage is the local pub serving good food. 7 miles away is the village of Fence, where there are several good pubs, including a Michelin starred pub. Families will enjoy farm parks at Thornton Hall Country Park or Hesketh Farm Park at Bolton Abbey, and happa, a horse rehabilitation is at Shore Heys Farm. Take a train ride from Oxenhope to Keighley on the Worth Valley Railway, or visit Bolton Abbey via the steam railway from Embsay. Cruise on a canal boat from Hebden Bridge, Foulridge or Skipton for a leisurely outing through the countryside. Take time to visit the local towns of Colne, Barnoldswick, Skipton and Clitheroe where you will find independent shops and restaurants, as well as many supermarkets. Cyclists can ride the ’Tour de Yorkshire’ route around Haworth and Hebden Bridge, or mountain bike in Gisburn Forest and the Trough of Bowland. Drive through amazing countryside to Grassington and Malham in the Yorkshire Dales, or to the Lake District, Blackpool and Morecambe on the coast. If you still have plenty of energy left why not try the shopping experiences at Boundary Mill or Pendle Village. Shop 400 yards away (restricted opening), pub ¼ mile and restaurant 2 miles.
