This delightful three bed barn conversion can be found in the pretty and rural Lancashire village of Lathom. Boasting outstanding countryside views, each of the bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities, and you’ll find an array of authentic features throughout. Original beams are complemented by exposed stone and the magnificent barn door really enhances the beautiful galleried landing and reception hallway. In the upstairs bedrooms you’ll find feature cartwheel windows and in the living room a rustic stone fireplace complete with wood burner, perfect for chillier winter evenings. The property is incredibly spacious yet has retained a cosy feel, and whilst the countryside location feels miles from anywhere, the location is far from remote.
A traditional food serving pub is a mere 15-minute walk from the property and being set on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal means it’s convenient to combine with a waterside walk or cycle. The bustling town of Burscough is also just 2 miles away and is home to excellent amenities including Burscough Wharf which is a vibrant selection of arts, crafts, food, and drink all under one roof. The market town of Ormskirk is around a 10-minute drive with a good selection of shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants and then the Victorian seaside town of Southport with its long, sandy beach and funfair can be reached in around half an hour. There are several events held annually in Southport, including the famous Air Show, Southport Flower Show, and the British Musical Fireworks Championships. Further afield, the city of Manchester and the Trafford Centre can be reached in under an hour or the Lake District National Park in just over an hour.
