Close to many of Derbyshire’s bustling market towns, villages, hills, dales and rivers with fabulous scenery and walks straight from the doorstep.

The beautiful market town of Bakewell is situated on the River Wye, crossed by a 13th-century five arched bridge, which boasts many tea shops and restaurants to enjoy. Nearby you will find the village of Wirksworth with its funky independent cinema, weekly and monthly farmers markets, along with the heritage centre and puzzle gardens to explore. The delightful surrounding countryside can be enjoyed on foot and by bike, and even by boat at nearby Carsington Waters. Well dressing is unique to Derbyshire and this can be spotted in the many villages you will pass through on your holiday adventure. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within easy reach, as well as Matlock Bath with its spectacular cable car to the Heights of Abraham, also easily reached are the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway and Gulliver’s Kingdom.
