Known as “The Queen of the Moorlands" is the historic, hillside market town of Leek. The town is popular with tourists for it's superb position near the wonderful Peak Distrct National Park. The town boasts many pieces of Victorian architecture, along with an excellent selection restaurants, pubs, antique shops and local parks. Historically, Leek's influences has come from the great William Morris and its history as a silk manufacturing centre, however today the town is an idyllic retreat year round.
