A charming barn conversion surrounded by 40 acres of meadow in the beautiful Manifold Valley in the Peak District.

The barn lies in an idyllic, tranquil, rural location in the grounds of a grade II listed farmhouse. The fields border the River Manifold and there are lovely views over rolling farmland to the Staffordshire moorlands in the distance. In the next valley the glittering River Dove marks the boundary between Derbyshire and Staffordshire as it weaves its way down to Dovedale.

There are many fine walks right from the doorstep and several footpaths cross the grounds. The picturesque village of Longnor is a pleasant 15 minute walk by the river. It has a delightful cobbled market place, shop, post office, 2 pubs and a craft centre with café.

The pretty village of Hartington and Hulme End, the start of the Manifold Trail are just 5 miles away. The spa town of Buxton is 7 miles and Bakewell just 9 miles. The towns of Leek (8 miles) and Ashbourne (16 miles) are fabulous for antique hunting.

Historic Houses, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Lyme Park are all within easy reach. Alton Towers is a 30 minute drive.

Horse riding, golf and fishing are all available locally. The National Park provides many opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Tree top adventures are available in Buxton and there are numerous activity centres offering caving, abseiling, climbing and all manner of watersports.

-Lovely open plan kitchen dining and sitting room. Mod cons include a TV and DVD player, radio and mp3 player.

-The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, range electric cooker. Please note that there is no washing machine.

-Twin ensuite bedroom

-Double ensuite bedroom

-1 ensuite double bedroom with Austrian twin beds, 1 single bed

-1 ensuite double bedroom, 1 single bed

Outside

There is a grassy seated area with lovely views over the Manifold Valley. A barbecue is available for outside dining.

The barn has central heating. We do ask guests to bring slippers to wear in the house.

Cots and high chairs supplied on request - please bring bedding.

Dogs are very welcome, but please bring dog towels and bedding.
