A village placed for exploring Cheshire and North Wales, offering shops, a restaurant and a pub. Nearby Ellesmere also has a selection of shops and pubs. Llangollen is certainly worth a visit with the Pontcysyllte Acqueduct and range of amenities and activities.

Everything went very smoothly from booking, to arrival, to departure. Stable Cottage suited us beautifully. The house was very well equipped for our needs, parking was very straightforward and close to the cottage and, despite being deep in the countryside, we had access to wi-fi. It was a very quiet location, beautiful scenery, magnificent cows parsley in the hedgerows and an ever moving flock of sheep to watch from the windows. It suited us, a retired couple, perfectly. We travelled about a lot and found it easy to get onto the A5 and other major routes. Caroline, who oversaw the property, was very welcoming and around if needed but she was never intrusive. I was very pleased that, from our point of view, everything worked out so well.
