Robertsbridge is a village in East Sussex, England. Suggestions to its origin have dated the village back to 1176, when a Cistercian abbey was founded there. Historically, this village was the founder and author of the Robertsbridge Codex (1360), a music manuscript from the 14th century and contains the earliest written music developed for the keyboard.
