1 Bedroom Sleeps 2
Exceptional 5 Star 'Gold Award' cottages, set in a peaceful location convenient for the coast, South Downs and High Weald - 'A True Haven from the Real World'.
'Talk about picturesque. This gaggle of beguilingly restored byres and bull pens, in the village of Cowbeech, is a dead ringer for Tolkien's Shire. There are four cottages in all, beamy as anything, and strewn beside a reedy lake. The Oast House, dating to 1683, is a pick, with its master bedroom in the original roundel. It sleeps five, but Beechcroft can host 17 hobbits in all. Sleeps 2,4,5 and 6'.
Sunday Times
The luxuriously fitted detached properties form a pleasant and informal grouping in a superb setting on the edge of the village with open southerly views across a small lake to rolling countryside. Each property commands its own privacy and individuality with tasteful, high specification furnishings, oil fired central heating with modern
insulation, well-equipped kitchens, Sandyford cookers, south facing patios and garden furniture - all ensure guests' satisfaction for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Beechcroft is an outstanding example of rural preservation, in unique contrasting countryside - hills, downs and a ragged coastline, close to historic 1066 Country with a multitude of ancient castles, open gardens and National Trust properties to visit, conveniently situated for the open-air opera at Glyndebourne. Explore the picture book Sussex towns or spend time on the local beaches. From tranquil gardens, Norman's Bay, the Cuckmere Haven Nature Reserve and the steep ascent of the South Downs, there is an abundance of things to see and do in this unspoilt area with some of the best walking and off road cycling in the country. Local hostelries with good food, farmer's markets and farm shops are in abundance. Fresh seafood from the coast is a speciality.
