Take a stroll along the nearby River Stour, row boat hire is also available just up the road in Wimborne. Cultural lovers have a choice of attractions locally including Kingston Lacy, a National Trust property and Wimborne Minster, a church which dates back to the 12th Century.  Exploring the town centre of Wimborne Minster offers a variety of high street multinationals with a good mixture of independent and unique shops set on quaint streets.  Strolling through the ancient streets you can dine at a variety of restaurants such as The Tickled Pig or Number 9. Stopping for a drink, there are a number of choices such as The Gin House: dedicated to gin, sample one of hundreds of varieties or try The Tap House, a specialist in local and national real ales. In the middle of the town, the Tivoli theatre has a good variety of film screenings, plays, shows and music.
