Watermill cottage in Cornwall is highly praised for its charm, peaceful location, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and cosy log burner. The property's original features and rural setting contribute to a restful stay, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage is generally well-regarded for cleanliness, with guests finding it tidy upon arrival. A few minor comments about details around taps and grouting suggest room for improvement, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive impressions.
The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to nature, with a stream nearby and easy access to local attractions. The rural setting is perfect for guests seeking a peaceful retreat, though the steep access roads may be challenging for some drivers.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy log burner and comfortable beds. The property provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, although one review mentioned a downstairs bedroom being a bit cold early in the season.
The cottage's facilities are generally appreciated, including the modern kitchen and bathroom. However, some guests noted a scarcity of power points and slow WiFi, which suggests that while the facilities are good, there is some room for enhancement.
Hosts Dee and Robin receive high praise for their thoughtfulness, providing a welcome basket and other treats. While these gestures are greatly appreciated by guests, it should be noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed with every stay.

St Breward is a small village set amongst beautiful countryside in Cornwall, about 7 miles from Bodmin. The village offers all the amenities you will require during your stay with a shop, village hall, church, two playgrounds and a pub. A footpath in the village creates a nice circular loop past the holy well, the church and across the River Camel. Nearby, you can also enjoy the Camel Trail which is popular with both walkers and cyclists and winds its way through the town Wadebridge on its journey to the sea at Padstow. On the edge of the town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail, which was built from granite excavated from this very quarry back in 1840. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out.
