The property was in a beautiful area with well cared for grounds. The walks along the banks of the river and around the pond are very tranquil and the walk back to the property is amazing.

Rivermead Cottages are set in a peaceful valley half a mile or so from the busy A38. It really is a haven down there: with its river walks, gorgeous lake and plentiful wildlife [we saw red deer, woodpeckers, rabbits, squirrels, a kingfisher and many other birds], one can really feel away from the stresses of normal life. We had the smallest cottage - Oaktree - but it was fine for us - comfortable and well equipped with all we needed. Midway between Liskeard and Bodmin, one can get to the coast in half an hour - Fowey or Love to the south or Newquay or Padstown to the north. However, the other major asset of Rivermead is the owners, Kate and Gary, who went out of their way to help when we had car problems, picking us up from the garage, taking us to the station, etc. Many thanks to them.
