Borah Lodge in Cornwall receives high praise for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped lodge, the private hot tub, and the thoughtful touches like cream teas on arrival. The property is ideal for dog owners and those seeking a relaxing retreat with beautiful walks and local attractions nearby.
Guests consistently note the lodge's cleanliness, with several mentioning it was spotless and thoroughly disinfected. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The lodge's location is celebrated for its tranquillity, proximity to local attractions, and scenic walks. Its peaceful setting on a working farm adds to the charm, although some guests note the distance to certain attractions.
Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the lodge cosy and the beds comfortable. There is a single mention of a less comfortable mattress, but overall, the comfort level is deemed very satisfactory.
Facilities are well-regarded, especially the private hot tub. The lodge is described as well-equipped. However, a couple of minor maintenance issues, such as a leaky window, prevent a perfect score.
Many guests mention thoughtful gestures like cream teas, fresh flowers, and welcome drinks. While these are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
