When the evening draws to a close, follow the stairs to the first floor where you can wash off the day’s adventures in the shower room before sloping off to sleep in either of the two double bedrooms or the single room. The harbour town of Port Isaac is one of Cornwall's greatest attractions. The historic village in the valley, which was once used for fishing, slate export, and smuggling, has remained almost unchanged since the turn of the last century. There is a wide variety of housing options, from charming cottages to spacious cliffside mansions, all within walking distance of the village's many eateries and boutiques. As the tide goes out, the sandy harbour fills with rock pools. Visitors flock to the village to see its many sights, such as the imposing Doyden Castle, the picturesque Lundy Bay, and the world-famous Doc Martin's clinic, and to park in the plentiful lots at the village's highest point. The village also features numerous bars, eateries, and boutiques. It's conveniently located within a short drive to the sandy shores of Polzeath, Daymer, and Rock, making it ideal for getaways of all kinds.
