The lodge is single-story and has decking with furniture and off-road parking for those arriving by car, making it ideal for families or couples. The South West Coast path is only 500 yards away and the beach within walking distance, accessible at low tide and down a steepish path. The village has just 27 lodges so a great feel to the site. The first bedroom is a double room with an en-suite shower room including good wardrobe and drawer space. The second bedroom is a twin room with ample storage space for your belongings, where you can catch your rest after an adventurous day. The open-plan living space is well-thought-out space with a well equipped kitchen, a dining area for four, and two large sofas to relax in to watch a film on the TV with Amazon Prime TV installed. There’s also a family bathroom with a bath and a shower over the bath, and is fitted with a toasty heated towel rail, so you can enjoy warm towels after your refreshing shower. The decking has dining furniture, so you can dine al fresco and enjoy the views of the outdoors in the warmer months. To the South is Tintagel, a short walk away, an historic town situated on the coast and is home to many interesting attractions, including Tintagel Castle, with its spectacular bridge, The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, and the National Trust’s - Tintagel Old Post Office. The town is also home to many shops, restaurants, and cafes if you fancy a break from cooking, as well as Warren Point along the coastal path, and an abundance of picturesque walking opportunities. The Number 95 Go Bus Cornwall runs between Bude and Wadebridge, via Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac. The bus stop is just outside Bossiney Bay meaning you can travel with a view over the hedgerows and hop on and off the bus choosing to walk back to the lodge or return by bus.

Other attractions close by include beautiful Boscastle (Sharon’s Plaice for the best Fish n' Chips) plus good pubs and restaurants, Trebarwith Strand, Port Issac. Wadebridge is within easy reach, a charming town home to Pencarrow House and Garden, a beautiful estate with stunning gardens, and the St Breock Downs Monolith, a massive stone monument. Inland Camelford is within easy reach and is rich in history and culture; it's home to the Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Museum, as well as the beautiful Enfield Park. You won’t be short for dining options here either, with several restaurants and bars in town, including The Ship Inn, which serves traditional British cuisine. For golfers there are many great courses to play, the nearest is Bowood Park just a short drive away. A lovely lodge in a fantastic location, choose Bay Lodge 6 for your next Cornwall break.

Tintagel is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination because of the legendary King Arthur's Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village. The sea, rocky coves, and breathtaking scenery dominate the surrounding area. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are easily accessible, and surfing is the main draw for water lovers. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants, and the National Trust's Old Post Office is a must-see.

30pm the girls were lovely and apologetic and Carol gave us a bottle of wine as compensation, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

It is a very spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. Having 2 bathrooms was so helpful, especially when getting ready in the morning to head to Tintagel Castle or Bossiney Bay, both are well worth a visit, but be aware the long walks/steps when visiting either. Bay Lodge provided all the things we needed to have a wonderful stay and we won’t hesitate to stay again!

The on-site staff were really helpful and the accommodation was lovely when we arrived. We have stayed different times of the year and the standard has always been the same. There is everything you need for a stress free break and amazing views all around. Looking forward to returning later in the year.
