Suncrest is an elegantly presented, semi-detached stone built cottage, situated in the small hamlet of Trewarmett on the outskirts of Tintagel. Positioned on the brow of a hill, it commands stunning views across the valley to Trebarwith Beach, and the rugged North Cornish Coast. Newly renovated for 2020, Suncrest has been designed with maximum relaxation in mind: care has been taken to make the property a light, airy comfortable base for your holiday. On entering Suncrest, a well-equipped kitchen, with its original Delabole Slate flagstone flooring, chunky farmhouse table and seating, makes a fabulous social space in which to cook, eat and chat. Onward through the French doors, a comfortable lounge area awaits, complete with uninterrupted views down the North Cornish coast. Large windows allow sight of the resident wildlife including numerous rabbits, birds, foxes and deer, and, at the end of a busy day, spectacular sunsets out to sea, taking in Gull Rock at Trebarwith Strand beach. The patio doors off the lounge lead to a large paved area complete with glass balustrade, perfect for enjoying the views, reading, relaxing, sun bathing and dining alfresco. Upstairs are two bedrooms both thoughtfully furnished with zip link beds to accommodate visitors requiring either twin or double beds. Between the bedrooms sits a spacious, newly fitted bathroom with large shower. Trebarwith Strand beach is a magnificent sandy, seasonally life-guarded, beach within walking distance, perfect for surfing and rock pooling. Here you can enjoy a meal and drink at the pub while watching the surfers, enjoy an ice-cream from the surf shop or maybe even treat yourself to a lesson at the surf school. The village of Tintagel, with its medieval Tintagel Castle (English Heritage), variety of museums, The Old Post Office (National Trust) and restaurants is less than 2 miles away. Suncrest is situated just a short walk from the South West Coastal Path. Ramblers can join the path to enjoy walks to the right towards Tintagel and Boscastle, or left to the fishing village of Port Isaac, home of Doc Martin and the Fisherman’s Friends, so be sure to bring walking boots! Keen golfers will enjoy Bowood Golf Club less than 15 minute drive away, or St Enodoc a little further away at Daymer Bay with its church famed for its crooked tower and the last resting place of poet Sir John Betjeman. So, be it walking, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock pooling or beachcombing; dining at Michelin Star restaurants; partaking in a round of golf; exploring castles or just enjoying a quiet day with the rabbits, there’s something for everyone nearby.

A popular tourist destination on the coast of Cornwall, Tintagel is a delightful village, with plenty of scenic beauty and historic delights to explore.
