Chapel Cottage is a converted former chapel situated in the village of Smallridge in the Black Down Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Originally dating from 1797, the chapel formed a central part of life in the village. Now a thoughtfully and tastefully presented, detached holiday home, Chapel Cottage offers somewhere unique to stay whilst offering up all the facilities modern life expects. Chapel Cottage is just 7 miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and is ideally located to explore the South West Coast Path, the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the popular resorts of Lyme Regis, Branscombe, Sidmouth, Beer, Seaton and the fossil beach at Charmouth. There are many local visitor attractions including Forde Abbey, Beer Quarry Caves, Burrow Farm Gardens, sea fishing boat trips at Lyme Regis, the Seaton Tramway and the Axe Valley Wildlife Park, which is a great family outing where you can see a variety of birds and mammals.
