. This wonderful holiday property is idyllically situated on the edge of the pretty village of Sidbury, with timeless views across the meadows to the village church and towards the surrounding hills. Standing detached, The Old Piggery is a luxury conversion with its own private drive, large sunny terrace and lawned area. It is set in a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a few minutes’ walk to the local pub, village shop and adjacent to the East Devon Way footpath. It is a peaceful holiday retreat to relax and unwind in whilst also being a great base from which to explore.
Close to the picturesque seaside town of Sidmouth, on the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, there are a variety of beaches, independent shops, and access to the South West Coastal Footpath. Local amenities and activities include golf, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis and riverside walks. The charming nearby fishing villages of Beer, Branscombe and Budleigh Salterton are all worth visiting. For children, great days out can be had at Crealy Adventure Park, Bicton Botanical Gardens, the Donkey Sanctuary, fossil hunting at Lyme Regis, Seaton Tramway and Seaton Jurassic. Local nature reserves including the Seaton Marshes for birdwatching are within close proximity. Slightly further afield is the historic town of Topsham on the River Exe and the city of Exeter with its imposing cathedral. Dartmoor National Park, with its rugged natural beauty is approximately an hour’s drive away. Beach 2 miles. Supermarket 2 miles. Village shop and pub ¼ mile.
