About this property

Set in an elevated position in the idyllic town of Lynton, Devon is Potters Cottage, a charming holiday let, ideal for friends or a couple to get away to the coast. With sea and beach views, a garden, and a trendy yet homely open-plan living space, this cottage is an ideal base for exploring and relaxing. Climb the steps up to the courtyard, fit with seating for your morning cuppa with a view of the beach and over to Dartmouth, before stepping into the open-plan space. Here, you can make the most of your quality time with a slightly raised kitchen equipped with all you could need for a self-catering stay including a dishwasher and cooker, and a sitting and dining area with a toasty woodburning stove to enjoy in the cooler months. Upstairs, find a shower room, complete with a bath and shower over, where you can prepare for a day of coastal walks with your group. When it’s time to get some rest, a double room and a twin room, both with lovely sea views, offer a place to rest your head before another adventurous day out. You will be less than one mile from the beach and your local amenities so popping out for dinner and a drink followed by a stroll along the water could be a nightly occurrence. For a spot of culture, the Lyn and Exmoor Museum is also within easy reach, along with the quaint Lyn Model Train station. Be sure to visit the National Trust's Watersmeet, a unique attraction with water features, fit for a calming walk one afternoon, or perhaps challenge yourself to reach the Valley of Rocks for yet more stunning views. Further afield, Exmoor Zoological and Conservation Centre makes a fun-filled day out for animal lovers of all ages, while for a more historic attraction, Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum can also be reached by a short car journey. Along the coast, the popular Ilfracombe is worth a visit, home to an aquarium and Tunnels beaches, the iconic, picture-perfect spot for sunbathing in the warmer months. A walkers and hikers paradise dubbed “the walking capital of Exmoor’, Lynton’s position within the National Park means you are able to walk straight from the front door of Potters Cottage, with access to several miles of footpaths and tracks. Explore the Moors, find the South West Coast path or the Tarka Trail, or stop in Lynton and Lynmouth to reward your exertions with a tasty lunch or dinner at the many varied dog friendly eateries. If you fancy buying a gift or something to aid your walking, Lynton and Lynmouth also have a wide selection of small independent shops, then stroll on the beach and wander along the small Harbour before eating your fish and chips. A lovely cottage in a prime location, choose Potters Cottage.

Exmoor National Park surrounds North Devon's Lynton and Lynmouth. Lynton and Lynmouth are one of England's most beautiful and unspoiled coastal towns, offering stunning scenery and the greatest views of Exmoor's rocky shoreline and landscape. North Devon's heritage, welcoming fireplace pubs, good local food, and "green" credentials inspire visitors. Red deer, Exmoor ponies, rare butterflies, and birds abound.

Great for the fit and healthy. On arrival the name plaque is difficult to see from a car but it’s next to the telegraph pole. Make sure you do not drive too far down in your car
