Wander down to the beach to walk on the sand and across to Burgh Island or perhaps a dip in the waves, maybe with a bodyboard or a surfboard which can be hired from the surf school. There is a simple little pub on the island, The Pilchard, where you can enjoy a quiet drink and contemplate the scenery which inspired Agatha Christie in some of her mysteries. For walkers, the South West Coast Path is beyond compare with amazing scenery and little coves en route. Kingsbridge and Salcombe will provide plenty of opportunities for retail therapy, as well as excellent eateries. 3 Tarifa is a peaceful and civilised place to enjoy the sea and countryside on the doorstep.
