Although feeling like a haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the nearest village of South Brent is 2 miles away, where you can get all of your amenities. The market town of Totnes is just 7 miles away, featuring a plethora of independent shops, cruises on the River Dart and access to the steam railway. Why not visit places such as the famous Buckfast Abbey, a working monastery where a community of Benedictine monks live self-sufficiently, welcoming people from all over the world.
Local attractions include the Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary, Pennywell Farm or take a trip to the exciting Woodlands Family Theme Park just 11 miles away.
Britain’s ocean city, Plymouth, is just 14 miles away with an abundance of things to do such as a visit to the famous Mayflower steps or take a trip to the National Marine Aquarium. Plymouth also plays host to a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars.
Harbourneford is situated in the Dartmoor National Park, with many attractions including National Trust properties, white water kayaking and river adventures, and walks across the moor to explore the mysterious stone circles, rocky tors and the famous Dartmoor ponies roaming free. Beach 14 miles. Shop and pub 2 miles, restaurant 2½ miles.
