This charming 18th century Grade II listed cottage with a thatched roof and roses in the garden is picture perfect. Set in the old part of Dolton in rural mid Devon, the cottage is a characterful base from which to explore. Guests can stroll around the village and buy supplies from the local stores and enjoy refreshments at one of the two local pubs, or maybe visit the nearby Devon Wildlife Trust at Halsdon or the RHS Rosemoor Gardens in Torrington. Further afield scenic Dartmoor is around 30 minutes drive away, as is the spectacular North Devon coastline. This area is also renowned for excellent fresh water fishing. Amy's cottage is furnished in a traditional style with exposed beams, stripped pine latched doors, and thick walls throughout. An impressive inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove keeps the lounge warm and cosy, whilst the dining room has a farmhouse-style pine table, chairs and dresser.  A spacious double and an additional compact double bedded room together with a bathroom can be found upstairs. Outside there is a lovely lawned garden and garden furniture where guests can sit and soak up the peaceful ambience of this beautifully-aged property.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Living room with wood-burner, TV and DVD. Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and dining area off the kitchen. Sunroom with seating for two.  First floor: Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 with Double. Bathroom with bath and hand held shower attachment, WC and basin.

Facilities and services: Bed linen supplied, no towels provided, travel cot. Electric heating. No Wifi.  Logs available locally. Regret no pets. Enclosed garden. Garden furniture. No smoking. Short breaks available strictly by arrangement(please phone). Unrestricted roadside parking. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
