Hartland Forest covers 1,000 acres and is home to herds of wild deer, yet is just 5 miles away from North Devon’s soaring cliffs and wide surfing beaches. This holiday lodge is situated at Hartland Forest Golf Club within Hartland Forest, and ideally placed for enjoying the county’s popular coastline, pretty villages and national parks. The large living area and sunny deck are perfect to enjoy a lazy breakfast while planning your day ahead. Beaches for relaxing on and surfing at are to found at Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay, all of which are within easy reach, as is Bude, the coastal pathways around Hartland Point and the market town of Bideford with boat trips to Lundy, England’s only marine nature reserve. To the north lies Exmoor National Park: a beautiful setting for the resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, with its wild landscapes and stunning coastline. Family attractions such as Big Sheep and Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and Atlantic Village shopping outlet are nearby; to the south lies the rugged Dartmoor National Park. Eden Project, 1 hour’s drive. Hartland, 4 miles, has sea angling, riding and golf. Guests have free access to the two onsite fishing lakes well stocked with bream, carp, rudd and tench. This is a rural location and there are no on-site facilties, but a Shop/PO, fish and chip shop, and pub serving food are to be found at Woolsery, some 2 miles away.
