There are ducks and geese, swallows, house martins, and you will no doubt find hedgehogs and moles. At sunset you are likely to catch a glimpse of the graceful red deer in the woods. Libbear Barton is also ideal if you’re thinking of a large celebration for a special birthday or anniversary, with hire available of The Stables, an attractive beamed events room where groups can meet and eat and celebrate together, and guests can stay in one place with no need to worry about driving.

If you can bear to drag yourself away from this stunning location, the breathtaking north Devon and north Cornish coast is within 25 minutes’ drive, and boasts fantastic sandy beaches, excellent surfing and many hidden coves to explore.
