Halwill Junction 2.4 miles. Primrose Cottage, looking toward Kitchen lake and the countryside beyond has been converted from part of the original barn at the Kingslakes estate. Inside you’ll find spacious, welcoming accommodation with an open plan living area, with a bright sitting area with glazed doors to a raised deck – perfect for enjoying the views. There’s also a dining area with table and chairs for six and a neat fitted kitchen. The cottage sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms, a twin with en-suite and a double on the ground floor, and a further twin and double on the first floor with long rural views, these share a family bathroom. Outside you are welcome to explore the 40 acres of grounds and all of the many facilities that Kingslakes has to offer.
A charming settlement alongside the village of Halwill, Halwill Junction is an extremely scenic place to explore whilst holidaying in Devon. Once home to steam trains, the area now offers a Nature Reserve boasting a plethora of beauty, as well as benefiting from being in close reach of Dartmoor National Park. Head to the coast and explore the coastal town of Bude, home to a wide range of beaches and attractions to suit all ages, or simply explore the Ruby Country for a scenic experience like no other.

Comfortable property, 4 adults and 2 children for the week. Beautiful setting, peaceful. Plenty to do on site and in the local area. Onsite staff were fantastic in their recommendations and general hosting skills, would recommend Kingslake as a great destination. For us it didn't warrant a 4 tick rating from Sykes, a decent 3. Could be elevated by simple touches that others have mentioned like extra bin bags, toilet roll, hand soap etc. Small things that seem to come as standard with most rental properties now. Lovely welcome of cream tea though.

The surrounding countryside was perfect and really peaceful and in all a pretty special holiday despite the weather. However, more than one tea towel and bin bag would have been useful.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. It would have been nice to have a dishwasher as there were 8 of us staying however this would not put me off going back. The on site restaurant served really good food and my husband really enjoyed the fishing.
