On the ground floor is a comfy sitting room with dining area, and on sunny days the adjoining conservatory is a lovely place to enjoy meals or maybe a Devonshire cream tea. After exploring the surrounding Dartmoor hills, the steep stairs up to the two peaceful double bedrooms are a welcome sight. The small garden with table and chairs is a tranquil spot for sitting out, with a field next door where energetic children and dogs can let off steam to their hearts content. There is lots to do in the area: perhaps a spot of shopping in the interesting little shops of Chagford, a hearty pub lunch in the riverside inn at Fingle Bridge, walks and cycle rides across dramatic Dartmoor or venture a little further afield to city delights in Exeter, 17 miles away.
