In the local area, there are a number of tourist attractions to visit. Beaminster Museum is an accredited local history museum open from April to November with a selection of historical exhibitions about the village and the local area as well as some more obscure displays. Down the road (2 miles) is Mapperton House, which is a beautiful 16th century manor house with gorgeous gardens full of plants and flowers a must see for any nature or architecture lover. The stone cottage is accessed up two steps into the porch where there is space to store your coats and boots after a day s walking or exploring. The porch leads into the beautiful double aspect living room which has oak flooring in keeping with the property s age, cosy wood burner, window seats to appreciate the views, Smart TV, Bluetooth sound system and a selection of games and puzzles for entertainment indoors.
