West Bay is a wonderfully situated for families with an abundance of walks along the coast and countryside, fossil hunting, fishing trips. The village has been featured in ITV series ‘Broadchurch’, so you may wonder around and recognise some of the places you pass by. Stunning cliffs to both directions will take your breath away and you will enjoy basking in the sun and taking pictures to share with your friends over the social media channels.
The South West Coast path will take to to Lyme Regis, Charmouth via Golden cap or Abbotsbury and Weymouth that would make an interesting day out.
If you wish to try some locally caught fish food, Riverside Restaurant is a perfect place to do so as they have a delicious changing season menu. Have some fish&chips along the harbour, just be careful of seagulls who may want a bite too.
Bridport, a bustling market town is a short drive away from Seagulls offering an array of restaurants, pubs, weekly farmer’s market and pretty lanes with antiques and boutiques.

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway To The Dorset Jurassic Coast”, nestles beneath the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coastal Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, golf, fossil hunting, boating, or even try scuba diving. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive takes you to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, the lovely sub-tropical gardens and swannery at Abbotsbury, or the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.
