This stunning barn is located two miles from the Dorset villages of Martinstown and Portesham, four miles from Abbotsbury and six miles from the expanse of Chesil Beach.
Blagdon Lower Barn is totally secluded and is accessed via a 400m long drive from the road. Deer and hares can be seen grazing in the garden and surrounding walks.
An ideal location for an outdoor break in the Dorset countryside with a network of footpaths and bridleways running from the farm, leading to a multitude of walks and expansive views of the coast - the Monument Weymouth, Portland and almost all of Chesil Beach can be seen, a view of some 25 miles.

From the second you drive over the brow of the hill and see the barn nestled into the valley you know you are going to have a wonderful holiday! The barn is fabulous, lovely open plan downstairs, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas everywhere downstairs with loads of space, there is a smart tv, and so many board games to choose from! When sitting at the dining table it is fabulous, beautiful views from both sides out of the massive windows. A super mezzanine upstairs with 2 comfy chairs overlooking the valley and fields beyond , the prefect space to watch the deer and hares running through the fields abounding the barn. 3 nice bedrooms with comfy beds, lots of space and good quality bedding. The peace and quiet is just heaven, we spent so long walking around the private paths with our dogs who were in seventh heaven! We had an issue with WIFI as it went down the day before we arrived and being over Easter there was very little that Lizzie could do, however she went out of her way to offer us advice and sent a router box asap, in all honesty it was good as the adult kids couldn't stare at their phones all the time as mobile signal was limited, EE works the best! The beautiful surrounding villages, towns and countryside were in abundance there was so much to visit that 1 week just wasn't enough, so we will be returning! You are deep in the countryside but only 6 minutes drive to Dorchester or the other way you are on Chesil Beach, the most perfect location.

Our 3rd Christmas at this magical place. Spotlessly clean with every thing you could ever need and more. Totally secluded yet within easy reach of beaches and fabulous walks. Pretty much a whole herd of deer to entertain you and the dogs. Especially the dogs!! We will be back and this time it will be in spring or summer to be able to sit outside in the total silence and watch the world go by. Thank you to the lovely owners who share their barn with us and others. Just fabulous.
