5 minutes walk to the old harbour and 10 minutes into the centre for all the amenities and beach. The cottage was very clean upon arrival and the welcome box with tea, coffee, biscuits and milk was very much a lovely surprise. The only downfall was on our second night there , from around 6.30pm til 10pm there was constant loud banging coming from a neighbouring property. We tried to contact Sykes cottages and for emergencies it goes to a voicemail. We got a response the next day to say âbuilding noise is not the responsibility of Sykes or the ownerâ, it was not building noise but a noisey neighbour so felt not listened to. Overall however, we had a lovely week away.
