"Tucked away in the pretty village of Slad - where author Laurie Lee grew up - The Cider Shed is a quaint, pet-friendly retreat that is ideal for couples looking for a slice of remote tranquillity." - Yahoo Style UK (May, 2018)
Ideal for couples, this spacious, light-filled barn is a true delight to stay in. The contemporary design and finish including the expansive sliding glass doors, have been carefully planned to compliment the elevated position, making the outlook truly breathtaking.
The Cider Shed is on the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way and a map is available within the property. Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust owns four beautiful nature reserves in the Slad Valley called Frith Wood, Snows Farm, Swifts Hill and, thanks to a very successful fundraising appeal, the new Laurie Lee Wood.
The Laurie Lee Wildlife Way takes in all four Nature Reserves and the trail is marked by wooden posts carved with the famous authors poems. People come from all over Europe to see the beauty of these valleys.
Inside is as heavenly as out. With luxurious details such as polished heated floors, scrumptiously comfy sofa and super king size bed both from Loaf and a rainfall shower made for two - it will be a hard choice where you want to spend your time.
Even though as its name suggests this was originally the shed to store the apples for cider making, now in its new life it’s one of the most romantic places to stay in the Cotswolds!
