This traditional 3 bedroom character cotswold stone cottage, nestled within a country lane. Close by is Gloucester, Cheltenham and Painswick. Walking distance to a pub and local shop. Pet friendly.. Ground Floor:

School Cottage is a traditional cottage nestled within the lovely little village of Upton St Leonards. Sleeping 6 guests within 3 bedrooms, it’s the perfect choice for friends, couples or families looking for a homely base to explore Gloucestershire and the honey hued chocolate box villages of the Cotswold. On the ground floor you have a tiled entrance porch, handy for de-booting muddy wellington boots and washing off muddy paws. A cosy sitting room is at the centre of the cottage, there is ample comfy seating, Smart TV and electric fire for those chillier evenings. Straight off the sitting room you have a dining room, with doors that lead onto a small courtyard and view of Upton St Leonards Church. A well-equipped kitchen, cloak room and utility room are also found on this level.

Upstairs, you will find 3 bedrooms, a master suite that has direct access to a private terrace with seating and views of a pretty tree lined church grounds. Two further bedrooms include a double and a twin room with full size single bunk beds, great for kids or teenagers. A family bathroom is also found on the first floor.

School Cottage is within strolling distance of a country pub, serving food and drinks, ideal for those days you just don’t feel like cooking. Adjacent to the house is a playground, perfect for children. Close to the cottage is Prinknash Abbey Estate which perfect for long country walks. Popes Wood which is ideal for biking. Rococo Gardens for garden lovers. Painswick Golf Course for golfers. Robinson Ski Centre for practicing skiers or snowboards, and plenty of history from Beatrix Potter and Chedworth Roman Museum.

Gloucester’s Victorian docks and Cathedral can be reached within 20 minute drive, offering a wider selection of eateries and local activities, including a designer outlet, cinema, SUP paddle boarding, boating experiences, and rock-climbing centre.

If you are looking for designer boutiques, salons, fancy restaurants, and bars for some pre theatre aperitifs this can be found all be found around 20 minutes away in Cheltenham. Cheltenham plays host to many famous events throughout the year including The Jazz, Science, and literature festivals to name a few. With the highlight of the year being the four-day jump festival, The Gold Cup festival at the Racecourse. There are plenty of beautiful places to see and visit around Upton St. Leonards, by foot, cycle, or car. The pretty Cotswold village of Painswick can be reached with 8 minutes, quaint tea rooms, Cotswold stone cottages and traditional pubs await. Be sure to stretch your legs with a walk-up Painswick Beacon with its impressive panoramic views. Bourton-on-the-water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Winchcombe are all within 45-minute drive of School Cottage. The Forest dean can also be reach within a 30-minute drive, which is home family friendly cycle paths, fishing and boating lakes, along with treetop adventures.

The area is surrounded by historic buildings from Berkley and Sudeley Castle and with-in a 45 minute drive you can also reach the Forrest Dean, nestled between the river Severn and Wye, filled with lots of activities for walks, bikers and activities for children such as Jubilee Maze.
