Cheddar Gorge, Blagdon Lake – with trout fishing and a wealth of wildlife – and golf are all nearby. The elegant city of Bath and the cathedral city of Wells are within an easy drive and Weston-super-Mare’s many attractions and sandy beach are just 7 miles. Lovely cosy cottage, especially as Mr Forbes had lit a roaring log fire for us on arrival. The are plenty of logs and fire lighters and extra logs can be bought for £4 per bag. If you dont want to mess around building a fire there are storage heaters in the lounge and bedroom, if these arent enough there is a portable convection heater. The cottage is well equipped with washing machine, and dishwasher. The bed is comfortable as is the two seater sofa, but this is low and difficult to get out of! There are plenty of places to visit in the area and a trip to jct 17 of the M5 for the aerospace museum where Concorde is exhibited is must.
