Rose Cottage is a 300 year old three-bedroom semi-detached holiday home situated in the centre of the traditional village of Carhampton, offering an ideal base for exploring the delights of Somerset and North Devon. This seaside location is a very short drive to the coast and lovely beaches at Minehead and Dunster.

Relax in the living room where you will find a three-seater sofa and an armchair. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal. The separate dining room is two steps up and has seating for six, a great space for dining with the whole group.

There are three bedrooms to choose two of which have en-suites. One en-suite double room is on the ground floor which is great for guests who have limited mobility and the other two bedrooms are on the first floor. The occupancy is set to a maximum of four adults and two children due to there not being a family bathroom in the property for the twin room to use. The guests staying in this room would need to use one of the en-suites in the double bedrooms. This cottage is perfect for two couples or a family looking to enjoy a holiday in a friendly community nestled between the countryside and the coast.

Carhampton is an attractive village close to the Exmoor National Park, with a church, pub, village store, community orchard and Post Office. The local pub is located opposite the cottage and serves delicious home cooked evening meals, perfect if you want to take things easy and don’t fancy cooking.

There are lovely walks from the village, through the deer park to the medieval village of Dunster or visit Dunster Castle for some spectacular views and fascinating history. There are plenty of choices for an afternoon cream tea too!

Blue Anchor beach is a leisurely 1¼ mile walk away across the fields. If you time it well, you may see a magnificently restored steam train puff into the wonderfully nostalgic station at Blue Anchor.

Minehead occupies a wonderful, sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset coast and boasts a mile-long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach. The town is ideal for those who enjoy some retail therapy, and it is also the starting point of the Southwest National Coastal Path, the longest distance countryside trail in the country. Beach 1¼ mile.
