The Garden House is a sensational holiday rental in a tranquil location in the heart of the Wiltshire Cotswolds. The stylish property dates from the 1700s and was originally a dairy before a 21st Century revamp saw it become a wonderful holiday cottage sleeping six people in two bedrooms. A central glazed sunroom joins original Cotswold stone, oak beams and vaulted ceilings to create a unique and welcoming place where families and friends can enjoy exploring the beautiful English countryside.The Garden House is in Nettleton, less than a mile from the Salutation Inn in the village of The Gib and two miles from the farm shop at Burton.

Nettleton is a small village in a gorgeous rural location only half an hour from Bath and within easy reach of Bristol and 4-miles from junction 17 on the M4. It doesn't take long to get here, but it certainly feels like you've escaped to somewhere really special. The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is famous worldwide for its beauty and charm. Picture thatched roofs, cottage gardens and humpback bridges crossing lazy rivers, and you are almost there. However, the area around Nettleton has something extra. Take a 30-minute stroll through fields and countryside to reach Castle Combe, a place so photogenic that it has been used as a backdrop for films like Warhorse. Even more photogenic is the National Trust village of Lacock and Lacock Abbey, parts of which are instantly recognisable to generations of Harry Potter fans as Hogwarts' hallways and potions rooms.

The beauty doesn't stop with Lacock. A 15-minute drive from the cottage is Bowood House, home to the Earl of Shelbourne, who has an adventure playground your children will talk about for years. Unwind and relax in the Thermae Bath Spa's healing waters or get your blood pumping with a lap or two of Castle Combe Race Circuit. Westonbirt Arboretum is breathtaking in every season, especially in autumn. If you stay at The Garden House over the first weekend in May, then you will be in perfect time to attend the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials.

The Garden House is one of two stylish and comfortable holiday cottages located in the grounds of Fosse Farmhouse an award winning boutique B&B.Nestling beside the ancient Fosse Way Roman Road that stretches all the way from Exeter to Lincoln, covering 220 miles. When booked together, the properties sleep 6-12 people (plus extra rooms in the B&B if required) and are a wonderful choice for family reunions, milestone celebrations, or hosting guests from out of town if you are getting married at nearby Grittleton House or The Manor House. The Garden House is a mix of old bricks and beams, modern insulated glass and indulgent touches like underfloor heating. Accommodation is all on the ground floor.

Outside: The Garden House has a rear garden with a patio, lawn and outdoor seating. Guests also have shared use of two acres of gardens and grounds which are child and dog-friendly. There is off-street parking. Travel cot available (guests to provide cot linen).

Additional Information: WiFi, utilities, bed linen and bath towels are all included. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. All of the cottages at Fosse Farmhouse are no-smoking properties.
