Exploring Longleat, the UK's top safari park, where you'll find a gorgeous Tudor house, enormous gardens, and a variety of species including monkeys, lions, and giraffes, is a must-do during any trip to this region. The Warminster town centre, which is well renowned for its military links, has retained much of its original attractiveness, including charming homes and inns made of the native Warminster stone. There are several beautiful treks within a two-minute scenic walk. Warminster has three supermarkets, numerous restaurants, bars, coffee shops, antique stores, a museum, a theatre, a beautiful park with a lake, a skatepark, tennis courts, and a nature reserve that can be reached on foot after just a short stroll, called Smallbrook Meadows. The prestigious Warminster Maltings, which continues to malt barley the old-fashioned way for the beer business, occasionally offers tours to tourists and serves cream teas in the summer.
