It is home to the oldest surviving bridge in Britain and there has been bones of Ice Age animals found in the village. Homersfield has a pub as well as a cafe and restaurant. There is a woodland in the village that is on the banks of the River Waveney. Nearby is the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum in the neighbouring town of Flixton. The popular destinations of Lowestoft and Norwich are within easy driving distance and are well worth a visit.
