About this property
A house that really does keep on giving! A perfect house for multi-generational families or friends, all within a short walk of the sea.
Samovar is a fabulous luxury 5* property with everything going for it - a stunning Edwardian villa offering spacious accommodation for parties of 12 and a great option for two families.
Accommodation is very comfortable with a couple of living rooms furnished with soft sofas, stove and open fireplace. The kitchen is a lovely large sociable room, very well equipped with an Aga, dining table and benches for 12 guests. There’s also an island breakfast bar - a favourite spot for chatting with a cup of tea. The additional sunroom is the place to head if you want to chill… just throw open the French doors onto the lovely bricked courtyard and relax on the stylish cushioned cane chairs. There’s even a games room with table football so you can have your own league! The property has 6 bedrooms, all beautifully decorated and furnished, the master has a wonderful feature fireplace and plantation shutters.
The location is perfect too… Samovar is right in the heart of Southwold, with beaches on the doorstep, shopping is a treat with plenty of high end names plus lovely individual delis, bakers and cafes… so there’s no excuse to treat yourself to a coffee and cake!
Stroll along the prom to the pier, a prominent landmark in Southwold. Stop off at one of the pubs and lunch or a quick pint, alternatively visit one of the lovely delis, grocers or bakers and pack up a picnic. A visit to Southwold wouldn’t be complete without heading off to the pier, dating back to the 1900’s, it was originally built as a landing point for the steamships which use to stop off at the town. Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse - this distinctive landmark at the centre of the town has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s.
An excellent restoration of a beautiful period family home, Samovar is one of the best! The owners have carefully retained many of the original features and combined them with rustic charm and coastal chic - perfect for a family celebration or a get together with friends.
