Little Brick House is part of a substantial detached property in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, an attractive border market town particularly popular with walkers and beer lovers; the Kerry Ridgeway, Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge provide miles of footpaths with panoramic views, and at the end of a day's walking, the town itself is a centre for Real Ale pubs and micro-breweries. Little Brick House dates back in part to the 16th century; the whole property was originally two separate dwellings but has more recently been a Guest House (see also WAA383). This part of the property (the red brick part) can be booked on its own, providing accommodation for six people in three en suite bedrooms. When Little Brick House is booked, the remainder of the rooms which form the whole Old Brick House (WAA383) are not available.

There is plenty of parking at the property, some to the rear and some alongside the house on a gated driveway. The enclosed rear garden is on two levels, ground level patio areas with garden furniture, gas barbecue and chimenea,  and a flight of stone steps leads up to a raised lawned area with mature trees and shrubs. The house has two comfortable sitting rooms, one with a woodburning stove and the other with Freeview TV and DVD player; there is also WiFi, a hifi system, books and games. The dining room has a large table and chairs. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with an electric Rangemaster range cooker, additional electric oven/grill, large fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, as well as a breakfast table and chairs.

The three bedrooms in Little Brick House, all named after trees, are located in the oldest part of the house, up the original old staircase. Oak is on the first floor, Willow and Birch are on the second floor. All three rooms have zip and link beds, available as super king size or twin; please stipulate bed/linen requirements at the time of booking. All three bedrooms have TV/DVD player and hairdryer.

This is an excellent location for exploring the Marches borderlands; Shrewsbury is 22 miles away, Montgomery 9.5 miles, Welshpool 17 miles and Ludlow 20 miles away. The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and Stokesay Castle at Craven Arms are 11-12 miles away. Bishop's Castle has a range of interesting shops, pubs and eating places, all within walking distance, as well as a swimming pool at the local leisure centre.
