Arriving at the property, off-road parking greets you, before making your way into the cottage. The kitchen is home to a modern electric fan oven, induction hob, microwave and a handy dishwasher to assist with the cleaning up. From here, gather with friends to eat around the oak dining table enjoying the views through a picture window, whilst a wood-burning stove warms the room and you plan your adventures for the days ahead. As day turns to night, snuggle up with your loved ones on a plush corner sofa, in front of the smart TV with Netflix included; the lounge is home to another woodburning stove, perfect for those chillier months. When sleep calls, head upstairs to the double bedrooms; these mezzanine-style bedrooms are accessed via their own individual staircases, with ample storage for your belongings in the bespoke built-in wardrobes and shelving units. Spend the day exploring the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve, this internationally important heathland landscape rises to 536m supporting rare wildlife including red grouse, stonechat and skylarks. Venture into the county town of Shrewsbury to enjoy medieval architecture, independent high street shops, restaurants and café culture. Or hop over to Church Stretton for lunch and explore the Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley. Have a drink at one of the many pubs in the villages of Bishop Castle and Craven Arms which boost some award-winning local breweries. Short of supplies just pop to the village shop, and if you don’t fancy cooking then head down to the Stiperstones Inn only 150m away where you can enjoy traditional pub food & drinks offering both inside and outside seating areas. The village of Stiperstones nestles in an unspoilt valley on the slopes of the beautiful Stiperstones Hill range and is only eight miles from the delightful Church Stretton and 12 miles from the historic towns of Shrewsbury and Bishop’s Castle. This small Shropshire village boasts a shop and charming inn and is a perfect starting point for many scenic trails, with the summit of the famous Stiperstones Hill, a 1.5 mile walk, and the East Ridge Wood mountain bike trails very close by.
