After a day of sightseeing, retreat to your own peaceful hideaway where you can linger over a chilled drink in the pretty and secluded courtyard garden. The property is a very short walk from the River Avon and Holy Trinity Church, the final resting place of William Shakespeare, and the charming medieval streets of the town centre are just beyond. Stratford offers a fantastic choice of restaurants, pubs and tearooms to enjoy, and has a fine array of shops together with regular markets and festivals in the town centre. Take a stroll by the River Avon and enjoy the town’s vibrant parks and cafes, all within half a mile of Wren Cottage. Thrill at a performance by the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company, enjoy a film at the Everyman cinema, and be entertained by the many street performers. The cottage was absolutely lovely and spotlessly (I don't use that word lightly, it really was) clean, very well-presented and very comfortable. It has a lovely little garden and we were sorry not to be able to use it (if you visit in Ffebruary, as we did, it's unlikely, isn't it?!). The beds were extremely comfortable, the house was very warm and our friend who is disabled appreciated the lovely walk-in shower. A designated parking space was very nice to have and our friends were able to park in the parking area opposite (which is ordinarily limited to two hours) using their blue badge. We had a fantastic time at Wren cottage and recommend it for anyone who wants somewhere more comfortable to stay than a hotel.

Quiet and comfortable with designated parking (always a boon in Stratford). Would stay again. Only problem related to information Sykes Cottages sent - thereâs a star in the key code for access, and it was much tinier print than the rest of the code, so I didnât spot it and had to call the owner. Could and should be easily remedied by Sykes.

Our hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly - they live round the corner and they made us feel that if we had an issue they would be straight round. The cottage is in a great location - quiet but only a 10 minute walk to the town centre, the river and the theatre. We would very much recommend a drink at The Garrick (the oldest pub in Stratford), a meal at Lambs on Sheep Street and of course a trip to the theatre. We would definitely recommend this cottage and very much hope to return.
